3 Resources Every Teacher Should Know About |
Kahoot: This resource is an incredible tool that I use in my classroom weekly. The students are all given a game pin, and then log on to the game on their own device. It allows the students to answer questions on a topic of the teacher's choosing, and provides the teacher with feedback in real time. This was a great informal assessment tool after a lesson! I also used it as a way to review before a test or quiz. My students are always engaged when playing Kahoot! |
Dogo News:
This was the perfect resource to provide my students with developmentally appropriate current news articles. A key way to keep my students engaged in the classroom was to provide them with information about events happening in the world around us. I knew when going to this website that I could find an article about a topic that would interest my students and be at their appropriate reading level! |
Google Slides:
When prepping for the first week of school, my co-worker and I started to design a slideshow to outline the first few days to stay organized. Soon, this slideshow turned into a year-long practice where the day is planned out on a Google Slideshow for my students each day! This has saved me so much time, and has provided my students with a consistent schedule that they can rely on. I would highly recommend using a similar resource in your own classroom to keep the day organized and flowing smoothly! |
